Is it fashionable to wear Mid-calf boots with a short skirt or longer skirt?

I typically wear knee high heel boots or high heel pumps with short skirts or dress pants, but is it stylish (at this time) to wear a pair of mid-calf ankle boots with a short skirt or would it be better suited with a longer skirt? These boots I am looking at would go perfect with jeans and dress pants, but I would like to make them more versatile. In you opinion, what would you wear these with? a skirt (short or long) or just stick with pants and jeans? Here is a link of the boots:

Reply:Yes it's still stylish with short or long skirts, but I live in Europe if that makes any difference. I happen to like your boots. I think they'd go with anything! Have fun!
Reply:I'd say long skirt. You could wear dark tights and a short skirt and the the boots too, but not just the short skirt alone. I would go with the long skirt though. The boots always go with jeans too.
