Are tall boots too sexy for work?

I admit I like the look of tall boots, so I'm thinking of getting some for my wife. She normally wears pants but is willing to try new things. Are tall boots/skirt considered too sexy for work, and if not, is there a good skirt/boot combination you can recommend?





BTW, I'm not talking about knee high boots. I know that's over the top for work.

I think boots are great for the office with a skirt. It's better if there is no leg showing between the boot and skirt. What I'm trying to say is the skirt should be long enough to cover the top of the boot. It doesn't matter what color the boot is, but a stiletto heel of 4 inches, I think, is too high for the office. Any other lower heel height works just fine.


Boots work will with pants too, as long as the boot is inside the leg of the pant; not with the pant stuffed down into the boot, not at work.
Reply:Nowadays, in a young office, knee-high boots go great with those stupid pants that come just below the knees... so if she's in a hip office I wouldn't even worry about it.


Now, if she works in a law office, you got a different story!
Reply:Well, I personally don't think any length boots are sexy. So, everyone is different. Why do you think boots would be looked upon as being Sexy. She might get there and think they are way too hot (temp wise). Remember they will completely cover her Feet, Ankes and some of her leg.


Now we have some ladies here at work that wear boots to work, then change into their heels/flats once they are inside.
Reply:no..i think tall boots with a knee length pencil skirt is suitable for work..even knee high boots. They are fine as long as they arent with a mini skirt.

I would NEVER EVER EVER wear a skirt to work, but I work in a manufacturing plant. I don't show any leg, ever, at work.





So it depends on her office and the dress code for her office, you'll have to ask her.

Reply:They would be ok with an a-line, knee length skirt. Make sure you get a shoe with a heel height she can manage to walk in all day.





I have tall boots from Aerosoles. They are very comfortable, especially the pair I have with wedge heels.
