Boots opticians of Specsavers?

Im currently with Specsavers, but the way i was treated previously (possibly cause im a student) im not sure if i wish to return... but my glasses are breaking so need to make a choice. I've heard about boots, or any other opticians recommend would be great

Shouldn't have gone to Specsavers!

You get what you pay for. Cheap tat from Specsavers breaks easily and the customer service is poor because they have to sell so much to make a profit.

I work for Vision Express and I'm very proud, I pride myself on the good customer service and good products.
Reply:Obviously the branch you go to is a one off. At Specsavers, we pride ourselves on our no quibble, no fuss guarantee and at our branch the customers get treated superbly. However, if you buy a cheap frame you must expect that it wont last as long as if you spend say £125 on a frame. If the frame is broken within 6 months they should change it "no quibble, no fuss", if it's defective within 12 months they should change it too -- no matter how much it costs. Our prices our very competitive, if needs be, just go to another branch, if your frame is within guarantee they will change it there too - and the staff might be a bit nicer!!!

Oh and Bec - as the leading optical retailer in the UK and 4th largest in the world, there is no problem with profit making, I've done the research, we don't hard sell, if a patient doesn't want to buy, that's their choice.
Reply:I find Specsavers really good. most helpfull
Reply:I find that the small independent can be better and not much dearer
Reply:you are never going to match specksaves prices

but you need a degree in mathematics to work out the final cost!
