Ballet boots? Thinking of buying a set -- has anyone tried them?

I've been for a few weeks about thinking of buying a set -- obviously not for everyday wear, just for at home with my BF :)

Do they take a lot of practice to walk in? For how long a time is it possible to wear them? (I've worn 7" heels before, but never ballet boots)

And yes, I know that I'll need to be careful not to damage my feet! No need to point that out.

P.S. Wikipedia has a picture and description of ballet boots if you've never come across them:

First of it's a fetish show derived from the pointe, when using a pointe shoe it takes immense practice to develop the perfect curve and balance. Without such practice, pain and maybe foot disfigurement will ensue. One must have strong feet to dance on pointe, therefore you would have to such in order to walk in pointe boots.

But practice slowly when using the shoe, most likely with a support such as the top on a chair or bar, and attempt to move around in the boots with a turn out, it can be slight. Even though it has a heel, balance will be difficult but with practice it will be easier, somewhat from a month to get the balance you want and the comfortably. And always ask the salesperson or maker for more information.

Have fun with the shoes...and your bf.
