Boots tied or untied in the off season?

when not at the snow should i leave my snowboard boots tied up. or just loosen them right out???

Boots tied or untied in the off season?
The same applies to both snowboard and ski boots: during the off season, if your boots are not tied/buckled, they will begin to loose the shape around the ankle of the boot. So that this does not happen, tie your boots up tight and keep them in a place with plenty of air [not an atic, etc.].

Hope this Helps.
Reply:you should leave them tied up. it'll help keep their shape, so that when you're back on the slopes, they can hold your legs in place.

once i was renting snowboarding boots for a whole season, this was when i was just starting, and i returned with them untied, and the guys who worked there got really really mad at me and gave me this whole little lecture.

so, yeah, it might be harder to put them on when the season starts again, but in the long term, it's better for the boots if they're tied up.
Reply:You should leave them tied to have them maintain their shape. You could also stick some newspapers or something to absorb any leftover moisture.
Reply:tie them up it keeps the shape
Reply:well dont u unloosen them when u put them on ??
