Motorcycle boots for the Street ride, not Street Racer...?

I have an FZ6 I use to commute to/from school and occasional 3 hour trips about once a month. I%26#039;ve been looking into buying a boot but I want something I can wear all day cortably without shelling out 500 bucks. I%26#039;m a poor college student...But all the boots I seem to come across are 500 dollar race boots. Are race boots really that comfortable to wear all day and worth the money?

Motorcycle boots for the Street ride, not Street Racer...?
somebody gave me a pair of Brauma boots from wal-mart that didnt fit them, but fit me....only used them when riding, just had new soles an heals....5yrs....slept w/ them on many times, never bothered my feet.........got lucky, i guess.......
Reply:sidi makes a boot for street that cover the ankle.

check out this website, there are both race and nonrace boots

just look through all the brands and you should see some good ones. its alphabetical so scroll down towards the bottom to see the sidi boots
Reply:it isn%26#039;t necessary for good riding boots I were a simple pair of leather boots that go over the ankle that%26#039;s the minimum I would go with for street riding $60 to $100 dollars should get you a decent pair of boots for riding
Reply:Race boots are NOT comfortable for all-day wear. They get hot, and lack support. Maybe look into Alpinestars Ridge boots or S-MS 1 shoes, Sidi Strada TePor boots or Doha shoes, Icon Superduty boots or some other boots better suited to commuting.

Try New Enough%26#039;s website (www.newenough.com) and look around a bit. You might even find some closeout Setup boots that will work good for you.
Reply:DAYTONA ! Done 40,000 miles and not a mark on them !
Reply:OXTAR gore tex. I wear them to the office and while working, more comfortable than shoes or sneakers. $180

You will want a pair that lasts, best ratings on Alpinestars, Oxtar, Held, Sidi. Almost forgot check for reviews at

Reply:I switch back and forth between a pair of Nike Goadome Boots , which are very comfortable, and a pair of Set Up Vision boots, https://www.motoliberty.com/prod_detail....
Reply:Been riding for over 30 years and never thought of buying special motorcycle shoes. Ride with what you want to be wearing when you get there.
Reply:You can get something decent for around $100.00~$200.00. Bike specific boots are more comfortable for riding and most are OK after they have broken in. With an FZ6 you will need something that allows good ankle movement as your feet are pointing down slightly when riding and you don%26#039;t want to move more than necessary when changing gear
Reply:I am not very clear. I advise u to get on a site called bikerkiss. There are many motorcyclists there. i think someone of them will give ua good advice.
