Good boots I should get? Need Answers!....?

I found these...

Ariat Stockman U-Toe Boots, and I actually already have a pair of Ariat boots (but they%26#039;re more of an all purpose paddock/hiking boot suitable for riding as well). I really wanted some cowboy type boots though!

Here%26#039;s the link....I was trying to find reviews for them online but I didn%26#039;t find any so if you%26#039;ve ever had this kind let me know what you thought.

i hope that worked! PLEASE look and let me know ..or if you have any other ideas thats fine too. Price isn%26#039;t really an issue (I expect to spend about 150 dollars...more than that I consider too much) Thanks!!!!

I need some answers soon because there is a sale going on and if these turn out to be good I%26#039;d like to get them now! Haha! tHanks!

Good boots I should get? Need Answers!....?
go to boot barn .com!!!! they have boots boots and more boots!!!! i know they have a bigger selection than stateline tack!!!! i like the ariats, justins, or the twisted-x brand....
Reply:Any Ariats are worth the money. I love Ariats, never had any problem with them not fitting correctly after wearing them in, and refuse to buy anything but Ariats.

I have worn 3 pairs in the ground (the soles literally were falling off) and buy another pair whenever I see them for cheap.

I get Ariat paddock boots (the lace up kind), but the western boot type I have heard to be just as comfortable.
Reply:I LOVE Ariat boots.

I have (blush) 7 pairs of different styles...3 lace up, 3 slip on, one zip.

I usually wear a wide shoe, but the Ariat lace up boots are fine for me in the regular width of my normal size.

Ariat boots = heaven for your feet.
Reply:Ariats are nice and all, but I personally prefer Ropers for western-style boots and just all around work boots. My english boots are Ariats, any other boots are Ropers.

If you%26#039;re set on those, they are generally good shoes. I think I tried them on when I was looking for some new cowboy boots, they were moderately comfortable, Ropers won out though. As you can probably tell, I would really suggest Ropers over Ariats for western-cowboyish boots.
Reply:These would be perfect for riding and wearing around the ranch. Ariats are very comfortable and last a very long time. I have a pair of ariats just like that and they have lasted me 7 years with no problems. The soles have held up and everything.

I would not reccommend buying Justin boots because they dont last very long. The soles wear out in 6 months and they are not very comfortable.

So even though some people cringe at the price of ariat boots, I would rather spend $150 every 7 years vs. $80 every 6 months.
Reply:I wear Ariat paddock boots with zips and love them because of the metal arches in them. I think if you are looking for a cowboy type work boot, then the best in my opinion are Justins. They are in your price range, very comfortable and hard wearing - look good too. Used to wear them back in the day with QH%26#039;s and all the vets also wore them and liked them because they were still comfortable at the end of the day.

Here%26#039;s a link

Reply:I have been riding/working with horses for years and I love Ariat%26#039;s. I think that price is about right for a high quality boot such as Ariat. I think you should see if you can find a boot retailer near you to try them on. I would not buy boots off the internet because the size you buy might not be right or they might just not be comfortable to you. They should be good for all around use, and they are cute too. Good luck, and I hope this helps..
Reply:I just bought Ariat Western Boots from discountwesternwear.com for $130 - shoe size for me stayed the same. They are the most comfy boots ever! The first time I put them on, my feet felt like they were on cushions. Browse the site, they had several styles, and some great prices.
Reply:I agree with most everyone else. Ariats are good boots. I currently have 2 pair of them, zip paddocks and heritage ropers, and love them both. They will last you a lifetime. My zip padocks have had a few problems.... I busted a few zippers, and the insoles are falling apart. But the zipper cost me $5 at a shoe shop, and I just bought a Dr. Shoals insert set for them.... good as new, and over 10 years old. My roper boots are 5 years old, and even though I%26#039;ve worn them and worked in them day in and day out for many years they%26#039;re still in like new condition!

These boots are made well! Like I said the only thing I%26#039;ve ever had go wrong with Ariats is that the insoles will eventually wear out.... but just buy a new insert for it, and it%26#039;s good as new! The leather and soles are very well crafted!

As far as riding in them..... they%26#039;re great for riding! I have a couple of pairs of boots, and I really prefer to ride in the ariats. I don%26#039;t like to ride in %26quot;cowboy%26quot; boots with the higher heels.... just doesn%26#039;t feel right when you%26#039;re using your legs, and the ariat heels work really well for good contact with your horse.

I will give you fair warning that these boots can be a little hard to break in at first.... but after a few weeks of wearing them, they mold to your feet and feel like second skin! The sizing is about normal, I might go a half size up on them!

Thanks for posting this... I%26#039;ve been looking for a new pair of boots with pink uppers, and I think I might order me a pair of these!

good luck!

Edited to add:

I went cruising on Bootbarn.com and found the same boots at a lower price:

I%26#039;m not a big fan of SLT anymore after they got bought out by horse.com..... horse.com is notorious for crappy shipping and poor customer service. I%26#039;d find them somewhere else!
Reply:well i cant wear the ariots personaly as I have a realllllyyyy high arch but I love crepe cole boots for comfort and durability. I have had one pair for over 10 years and they still look new even with everyday use... heres a few to look at in your price range with crepe soles.. several are ariots as well....

Reply:i goto em shoes worth every penny yeh haww!
Reply:I LOVE Ariat boots. I%26#039;ve owned two pairs and actually just bought a new pair of paddock boots today. They%26#039;re super comfortable and worth every penny.

Those are really pretty, too... I%26#039;d say they%26#039;re a good buy. Of course they won%26#039;t stay that pretty after a few months of barn work, but the price isn%26#039;t bad so you might as well get what you like. :)

And yes, the sizes are the same as any other pair of shoes. I also wear and 8.5 in most shoes and the pair I bought today are 8.5.
