Converse boots-the high ones that go up to your knees-what to wear with?

what can you wear with those really high converse boots, the ones that go up to almost your knees? white or black? jeans, or could you wear them with a skirt or something?

wear them over your skinny jeans!! put your skinny jeans inside the boot and tie them half way not all the way.
