Ladies and their boots......?

What is this fascination men have with women in boots ?? do men have a kinky boots complex or something - the sight of a woman in a nice pair of boots and men go all squify what do we think ??? Ladies how many of you own boots and know what reaction you get from men when you wear them ??

Ladies and their boots......?
I have 11 pair of boots. all of them are fetish boots.

men crawl to them. (they enjoy it).

Reply:ha ha ha ur question came just in time... i wear boots (w/ jeans) alright but to me its just one of the shoes that any woman wear however, with this guy am currently dating..he kinda said "nice boots" the first time he saw me wearing one and it struck a cord(bcuz its the least i expect him to notice). i think this guy is one of those you said "kinky boots complex". Since then am wearing them more often. he he he infact am wearing one now.

Timberland Boots and Kicker Boots?

Does anyone know some shops in LONDON, UK or some safe online shopping sites in UK, apart from JD Sports that sell Timberlands and/or Kicker boots?

I can only ever find the pairs that I want in the overpriced Littlewoods or Additions etc. I want another pair of the pink nellie Timberlands as I have wrecked my last pair!

and/or the darker pink pair. I also want a pair of kickers (kick hi) boots. Both needed in SIZE 7 %26amp; hard to find!

Please help.

Timberland Boots and Kicker Boots?
Timberland have an online store.

Reply:TK Maxx.

They definitely sell both brands. And i know in my local TK that they have had quite a lot of the pink Timberlands in recently. Think they are £44.99.
Reply:Go to http://www.kelkoo.co.uk/ type in timberland and it will give you all the shops where you can get them. Then go back and type in kickers.
Reply:I know that you can find the Kickers in Schuh. Try the Timberland shop in Bluewater for the Timbs i think they offer a student discount too.

When buying snowboard boots...?

What kinds of thing do you want your boot to have...i have never bought my own boots, just rented them but now i want to buy my own. Do you want them more stiff or soft and is the boa lacing system thing better than the normall lacing??

And which companies make the best quality of boots?

I just started snowboarding last year so im not going of any huge jumps or even in the terrain park yet but i want to...i am 14 years old and a girl...what type of boot should i buy??

When buying snowboard boots...?
First of all, your boots need to be the right size- make sure they fit nice n' snugly. The stiffness or sofness is a personal prefrence. The stiffer the boots, the more response you get, but you don't wan't too much, so you ned to rent different stiffness boots to find out what you prefer beefore you buy. Boa lacing is deffinately supposed to be better than traditional, but can run a lot more expensive, so you need to decide whether the extra dough is worth it or not. Some of the best boot brands are Burton, Celcius, Thirty Two, DC, and my personal prefrence, Vans. Finally, you ALWAYS want to buy your boots before bindings. If you already have bindings, that's okay, just avoid it in the future. The reason you want to but the boots firts is so you can find boots that fit your feet, then binding that fit your boots. If you buy bindings first, you then need to find boots that fit your bindings and feet well at the same time.

Have a sick time snowboarding
Reply:You should buy the boots that fit your feet the best dont try and be influenced by brands too much and by what other people say, as what someone else recommends to you as a good boot may not fit your feet well at all. The best thing for you top do is go into your local snowboard shop and try on all of the entry level boots and go with the ones that feel the most comfortable regardless of brand or style. As even if they arnt the best looking boots once your bindings are on you wont really see them anyway. Its vitally important that your boots fit you well if they dont you will find riding in them a nightmare.

As far as laces or the boa system i usually go for laces but thats just me, either of these will be ok. If the most comfortable boots have a boa system go with them. Hope this helps, Good luck.
Reply:right on!! a girl rider!!! i started riding at like 13...just wanted to say that............ thirtytwo boots are ggreat!! i have them.......very comfy......and pretty cheap......like $130 only
Reply:Go soft, they'll be more forgiving and you'll be less likely to get thrown by choppy snow. Plus, where you're smaller, you'll be able to flex them no problem. The boa system has come along way. If you can find a soft flexing pair ...go for it.
Reply:I started riding when I was 14, now I am 22, right on lady!! keep rockin!!! 32 makes some pretty bomb prof boots, super responsive, but also kinda more expert boots. I rocked the BOA system for a couple years, yeah they are convient, but they break easy, simplicity, and sturdy is key. DC is a GREAT boot if you are just starting. I wore the DC Judge boots for years, they are a boa system, and they have air pumps to help increase and decrease the stiffness of the boot, so, like I said, alot of things can break on them, but they are a good way to try a few different things. since they are so adjustable. but they are pretty expencive. Burton gear is good, but in the past couple years(I have had all burton gear for over 6 years) burton seems to be focusing more on style rather then function. So your boots will look cool. but not really work as well as you need. Good Luck, and keep on shreading!!
Reply:i just bought new boots for this upcoming season. i had always used burton boots but this year i went with DC. after trying them on i thought they were the softest most comforatable boots around...just like there shoes. you can find last years models like i did real cheap i got mine for $100. and there boots geared towards the parks and jumps..good luck anyway hope this was some help
Reply:Heyyy .. Im a skier but Ive heard "burton" are a good make =] Im 14 as well Lol %26lt;33 Sorry I couldnt help that much, but ill try find out for ya =] Have fun snowboarding %26lt;33

Bearpaw boots?

okay i want some boots, but uggs are expensive. so i was looking at the bearpaw brand....

-are they cute boots (women's eva either brown or black

they are in the second row)

-are they worth the buy (does anyone have bearpaw boots? if so are they good and warm?)

thanks!

Bearpaw boots?
ya bearpaw boots r soooo awsome i would get them if i were u
Reply:I have bearpaws. They're super comfy.

I actually tried on UGGs too and i thought that the bearpaws were softer.
Reply:yeah, i have a pair. They have sheep fur lining in them so they are really warm. I wear mine all the time. I have the black ankle boots. The only thing you have to make sure to do is spray them with water and snow protector stuff. My dad did it for me so i don't really know what it's called. But, do it just to make sure they stay dry; and so far mine have! my favourite!!

this is where i bought them:

http://www.theshoecompany.com/Bearpaw-6-...

but i got mine at the actual store for $70, so i guess i got a deal.
Reply:i bought a pair of bearpaws about a month ago, and they are amaaazing! in the crazy canadian winter they have been super warm and comfy. they're really easy to clean, too. i would definitely recommend buying a pair. :)
Reply:I have a pair of Bearpaw boots because I didn't have $250 to spend on UGGS, and I love them! They are made really well and are very warm and comfortable to wear. I live in PA, and they keep my feet warm and dry when I have to walk through the snow to class.
Reply:They are and they sell them in shoe pavilion!

Rugby boots...?

I play rugby, and i play with my soccer boots. I play in the frontrow at tight head (first time ever playing rugby), and I was told I might need to get rugby boots. What's the diff. b/n soccer and rugby boots and which would be better to get for my position?

Rugby boots...?
Main difference b/w soccer and rugby boots are studs, ankle support and foot protection. For a frontrow player, rugby boots are recommended. Studs are generally longer, for more traction in all weather conditions - important in scrums, esp... Ankle support is better (many rugby boots are 3/4 and high-top cut)... Strength of boot is key since your boots will likely get stepped on during scrums, lineouts, rucks and mauls, etc... I recommend a 3/4 or high-top boot. You won't have as much flexibility as a soccer boot, but your feet and fellow forwards in the scrum will thank you. Good luck...
Reply:From my experience, rugby boot sizes are fairly close to sneaker sizes. Personally, I don't mind if they were a little wider/longer because I wear two pairs of socks (rugby and athletic) and an extra insole (like Dr. Scholls - helps keep studs from digging into my feet). Report It

Reply:Yeh JC has given you a pretty good answer. I will just add something though:

If you are in the frontrow you will need a pair of boots with 8 sprigs/studs. I think this is the most important thing. 8 sprigs provides you with far more grip which is essential in the scrum and rucks and mauls of course.

They need to be good sprigs too. Make sure they are full metal sprigs and are long (especially if the fields are wet/muddy).

Soccer boots would be fine for the backs or loose forwards but you definately need a pair of rugby boots for the frontrow.
Reply:JC knows what he's talking about. Buy from WorldRugbyShop.com-- best rugby company in the US hands down.
Reply:good answer JC. yes, get some rugger boots suitable for the scrum
Reply:and with the metal studs (vs molded) you can actually change the studs to suit the field condition. they're tougher on your tootsies and my coaches have said to train in molded cleats (or even running shoes) once your studded boots are broken to reduce the strain they put on your calves and feet. I also recommended upgrading the insoles to provide more cushion.

i would suggest a mid rise boot- it gives more stability, althoguh your mobility may decrease- but chances are, if you're a prop you dont do the jukes the backs need a low boot for! i'd also suggest a reinfroced toe. - it'll help protect your toes in the scrum and rucks.
Reply:well if you play prop your proberly fat :)

My New Puma Boots.. Do you like them :| (Picture)?

Hey, I was looking for a pair of boots but all of the ones I liked had heels. I finally found these puma boots and they were pretty decent for Toronto so I bought them. I still like them but do other people actually like them or will they stare at me? Also can we wear these boots for fun with my pants tucked inside even if it isn't snowing? Oh and would these be considered rain boots too?

By the way.. My mum is making me wear them on our flight to Toronto. I don't want people to stare at me.

Ladies... ever worn boots in bed?

I think it would be really hot if my girlfriend would wear her knee high boots to bed with some matching black lingerie, or maybe but naked except for the boots. (just her regular knee-high suede boots with medium heel, nothing extreem). She has great legs and looks gorgeous when she wears thoose boots and I think she would look damn sexy if she worn them but naked.

Would you ladies wear it for your man if he asked you to? Would you feel weird or would you feel sexy and maybe inspired to be a little naughtier than usual?

Just want a little spice know and then out of the ordinary. Thanks for your answers!

Ladies... ever worn boots in bed?
Oh, definitely! I'll wear hot heels or boots to bed even if I'm not asked to on occasion! Doing it spontaneously is fun because it lets me do something sexy for my man. I'm not exactly the naughtiest woman around, but it sure makes me feel that way! :)
Reply:Hell ya I would!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:Hey Monty, my hubby has a stiletto heel fetish! I almost always wear a pair of 5" stiletto heels when ever we make love. I also have a pair of stiletto heeled over the knee leather boots that I wear on occasion for him too!

There is nothing wrong with it. Talk to her and tell her your fantasy. Listen to her's too and make it happen. If you try things for each other, it will be amazing!

Good luck!
Reply:Sure I would. I think you have to spice it up once in awhile. Ask her. I'm always inspired.
Reply:oh, definetly. my ex had actually asked me to keep mines on, it wasn't a big deal. ( its just boots)
Reply:no and i never will no matter what and i dont know why you would want that
Reply:no i wear red 6 inch heels to bed much sexier and well a woman knows what happens
Reply:I sure would! I love my knee high boots :) I think I'll try it now :)

I'm sure if you ask her nicely, she'll give it a try. Good luck! Let me know how it goes ;)
Reply:I always wear my hiking boots with the Ice spikes for added traction. lol lol
Reply:It all depends on ur girl and how comfortable she is with u.

My husband loves my boots and nothing else in the winter and my strap up heels in the summer. I dont like it all the time but when we do use them I tend to get into it. You have to make her feel comfortable. Make her think she is the sexiest woman alive and she'll probably be more willing to wear them for u.

Good luck, have fun, and be safe

Are these good boots?

http://www.shoecity.com/shoes/womens/boo...

These are knockoff uggs that are about 100 dollars less than real ugg boots. Do you think I should get them??? Also, if you have experience with bearpaw boots please tell me how they're like. Finally, If I'm a size 10 in normal shoes should I order these boots in 10 or 9?

Are these good boots?
why should you get the real thing? those boots look exactly like the real thing. don't spend all your money on something that may be next year's "out". besides, they look just as warm as uggs. so buy them!

Best value snowboard boots??

hi, I'm looking for a pair of boots for a beginner female but not sure where to start..I'm trying to spend under $100. what brand should i stay away from? what's a decent brand? how good are Forum boots? Ride, Northwave, 32 , and DC? I know that Burton and Salomon are good boots but can't afford them. If you're familiar with snowboard boots, please list from best to worst or recomend a brand..thank you very much..happy new year!!

Best value snowboard boots??
I ride in Vans, as well as most of the guys I ride with do as well. DC, Salomon, Nitro, Burton, and Rossignol make good boots as well. It's hard to tell what a boot feels like unless you try it on. Your best bet for buying boots is to check the large internet retailers and local board shops for past year models of the boots. They usually are marked down extensively, so you can get a higher end boot for the price of an entry level one of the current year.
Reply:What works for me could not work for you. I've been snowboarding for quite some time now and I use burton and dc boots. Basically if you buy a name brand and try some on and they are comfortable then they'll work. I found most boots are all basically the same for comfort but monuverablity is different. I basically say the same to people who ask about skate shoes, you'll never know what works best unless you try them out. it's all trial and error. Get a nice not so cheap pair and try them out, if they suck your first time out resell them and buy something different. Good luck sorry it's not that great of help ut I could list all sorts of brands and they could all suck for you.

Moccasin boots for bigger calves?

I'm obsessed with these Minnetonka Moccasin knee-high boots. The only problem is that my calves are really big and muscular. I think they're about 31 cm. around (god, i hate genetics). I have a really hard time finding knee-high boots that fit. So if you own a pair of these, can you tell me how much give they have? Would they be impossible to stick my leg in? Or can the company special make them? Maybe link me to another website with similar looking boots but for bigger calf sizes?

Here's a link to the ones I want.

Tan or Black boots with dark jeans?

Want to know what is better to wear with dark dark navy jeans (jeans tucked into the boots which are mid calf in length. No heel.) No particular occasion, just want to know if tan boots would look alright.

Tan or Black boots with dark jeans?
I guess it depends on what color your shirt is, both would look good with the jeans, but the shirt would definitely be the deciding factor.
Reply:It also kind of depends on what shirt you're planning to wear with it. But, in my opinion I don't think dark blue and black match very well so I would go for the tan boots.
Reply:Yeah they'd look fine as long as they look ok with what you're wearing on top.

What do girls think of guys wearing sneaker boots? Attractive or no?

When I say sneaker boots I mean boots like these:

Do women like seeing them on guys? My friend bought a pair of Converse hi-top boots and she told me that they're unisex and I should get a pair too. What should I wear them with?

What do girls think of guys wearing sneaker boots? Attractive or no?
I think it depends on your personal style and age group.

They'd be nice with longer shorts, or the pants with the removable bottom legs.
Reply:cool if you are a goth or emo. not really my style. i love regular hi top chucks. but they are unisex and you can get some too.

i think they would look ridiculous with shorts, short or long. and skirts too. try some really skinny jeans maybe? idk. im not a fan, sorry.
Reply:personally i dont think a guy should wear them - my personal preference - don't look too manly to me but depends if you like them go for it

Paddock boots for my horse. are they worth it?

my horse is always getting new injuries to make my day a lil bit harder so do you think it would be benficial for him to wear paddock boots. hes agisted with about 10 other horses and is prone to cuts around them.

do any of you guys use them, im eyeing a pair off of ebay, theyre only 25 dollars.

any experience with them?

Paddock boots for my horse. are they worth it?
They work well, but be sure to keep them clean and check them daily if at all possible as they will collect debris that can make worse sores than he gets from the other horses. They need to be snug to stay up, but being velcro, should come off okay if caught on something-which really shouldn't happen if they are snug enough not to fall down over the hoof. For the price, they are worth a try. For more durable and long lasting protection, we use Professional's Choice boots. They are form fitting with a neoprene side against the skin, wash easily and stay where you put them. Plus, they cover the leg from knee to hoof so you have maximum coverage.
Reply:I'm not sure what you mean by paddock boots...the only ones I know of are for humans! Do you mean something like polo wraps?

EDIT - I went to eBay and searched on "paddock boots horse" and found these - are these what you mean?

http://cgi.ebay.com/Horse-exercise-paddo...

I don't see how those could offer any support or protection, other than protection from the cold. What is their intended purpose?
Reply:go for them.

I use them all the time for my horses.

They keep the legs warm and clean.

just make sure you put them on tight enough so they dont slip down.

Best of luck.
Reply:my only concern would be if the horse got caught on something b/c of them..if its just an open paddock with electric fence and no woods then I guess it wouldnt hurt.

Uggs or coach boots?

ok i need help.

my mom says i can either get

1. the classic short uggs

2. coach boots. they have like barelyvisible C's on the boot...

HELP ME!

and dont judge by the price please...

thanks!

Uggs or coach boots?
Please get the COACH shoes !!

the quality is better and I'm sorry but everyone and their mother wears uggs...........no literally, I see 60 year old ladies wearing them !! do you really want to be pulling off a look with shoes that a 9 year old and a 56 year old granny will be wearing at the mall that same day !!!!!!

if u must have Australian sheep skin boots, trust me there are other brands then UGGss !!!!

ALSO%26lt; THIS IS YOUR BEST ANSWER !!! lol
Reply:It depends on where you live really. Like I live in Vermont so it gets reallly cold in the winter so I wear uggs because they keep your feet really warm. Also uggs are extremely comfortable! The only thing is if you do get uggs make sure that

A: you waterproof them before you wear them

B: when you try them on take into account that after a couple weeks the fur gets packed down so the boot is bigger. I would suggest taking maybe 1/2 of a shoe size smaller than you usually wear. It may feel tight but it packs down.

Also it depends on what coach boots your planning on buying. In the end though, it all comes down to personal taste. Good luck!
Reply:Go for the Coach. Everyone has Uggs now, it takes the fun out of owning them. Get Coach for sure.
Reply:Coach
Reply:uggs
Reply:if the C's are barely visible then why bother getting them uggs are warm and cute you can wear them with nearly anything
Reply:UGGS!!! I have 4 pairs and i love them!!!

The Coach boots few have but in my opinion they are ugly.

Hope that I helped! : )
Reply:Are you talking about these Coach boots?

http://www.fashionaccessoryforum.com/coa...

I have those and classic tall Uggs.

Uggs will keep you warmer! BUT if its snowy or icy outside you would want the coach ones. i guess it all depends on if you would walk in the snow or not. if not, get uggs.

I need good boots...ideas?

I need a pair of stylish women's boots (size 9 1/2) with no heel unless it's a low wedge that doesn't go too high up my leg...around mid-calf at most. If you don't have any specific boots in mind, then could anyone suggest a shoe site? I've checked macy's, nordstrom's, payless and delia's. I also need them no more than $50 and good quality...thanks.

My UGG Australia Boots?!?

My UGG Australia Boots?!?

My UGGs where dirty the oth day so I decided to wash them with the UGG cleaner after I clean both boots one was comepletly dry, cleaned and ready to be brushed. then half of the other one was a darker, I have chesnut UGGs there is a huge brown spot on it its so ugly looking. How do I make it go away?

My UGG Australia Boots?!?
Dry the other one immediatly and blow dry it for approximatly 25 minutes. If this treatment doesn't work than I dont know what will, because every time this happens to my friends they are like "CAN YOU FIX THEM??" and I go "Yep, hand 'em over." And it works every time!
Reply:I would say that you should try the spray again. maybe you missed a spot or something.
Reply:blow dryy?? if not take it to the store and complain
Reply:add more ugg cleaner and if it doesn't work the spot will evaporate
Reply:Well try putting the ugg cleaner on again if it dosent work go to the place where you bought it from and ask them. If you bought it online there usually is a phone number on the website so try doing that.
Reply:woww... um if i were u i would just give it some time to dry if not maybe u can return them if u have the receipt still?

Knee boots?

doesany one wear knee boots over there jeans

Knee boots?
Absolutely, it is one of my fave looks. It looks so hot, if you have the right jeans and boots of course. I wear my skinny tsubi jeans in either black, grey or dark blue with either black or caramel boots. It always look stylish and quite effortless. Um hookers tend not to wear jeans( I don't imagine that is good for trade haha) and if they were to wear them, I rather think they would wear the cheap, thigh high white plastic lace up kind don't you, perhaps with a micro mini? I used to be a model, and all us girls wore them constantly, they are such a good look and it also keeps you warm and cozy on those wintery days. Obviously not everyone can wear them, as they are really only suited to those who can wear skinny jeans, some people would look better with bootcut jeans over ankle boots. Everyone is different, but I say yeah, if they suit you it's a great look.
Reply:knee boots over jeans thats the style right now, but the jeans should be skinny leg jeans.
Reply:Yes, I wear this knee boots all the time!!! They are super cute. I have 2 pair from Nine West (gifts from my boyfriend) and 1 from Steve Madden. They look best on top on skinny jeans, otherwise you'll get that nasty bulge look.
Reply:NO I DONT LIKE DOING TAT MAKES ME LOOK LIKE A HOOKER(PROSTIUTE). NO OFFENCE!
Reply:i dont but i think it looks nice.

Cowgirl boots... In or out?

So....

I got a nice white poofy blouse yesterday and a nice pale blue button at the front skirt and decided to team the shirt with a tan waist belt but couldnt for the life of me find a nice pair of shoes that would be good with it. So was looking on ebay and came across cowboy boots, tan. But are they going to be an OK look for the summer or are they a bit out of date. any suggestions for alternatives welcome :)

Cowgirl boots... In or out?
So in.. love the cowboy boots. Can be cute with a skirt or even some skinny jeans. I am always a fan of vintage looking stuff so even if they are a little older looking I bet they will still look super cute. You can always add some really trendy jewelry to bring it all together too. Try emitations.com for really new stuff or even dig through some of you moms old stuff for a total vintagey feel!
Reply:I think they are old :)
Reply:out..sorry
Reply:They will be just fine ,you should make your own style and not every one elses. And they will look nice with the poofy white blouse and your tan waist belt, those boots will set your look off.okay
Reply:thye wud look cool thrown with a tan belt, dont folow the crowd, i rekon ull look fab
Reply:depends on how they look, the old kind is soooo out
Reply:yeah they are out. try a more western type heel or sandal with a wooden bottom and woven leather. cowboy boots make your feet sweat anyway.

Burton SL10 snowboarding boots....???

I'm looking at buying a new pair of boots and, from what I've heard on the mtn, the SL10's are supposed to be a great pair. Does anyone own them and, if so, whats your opinion. Also, if you have a pair, how does Burton's sizes compare to realistic sizes... I mean, if you're an 11 in regular shoes then go with a size ?__? in Burtons... Nowhere around San Diego has any in stock so I'm gonna have to order online and I've never owned Burton boots so I have no idea... last pair were Northwaves.

Burton SL10 snowboarding boots....???
I have the SL10, and it is a great pair of snowboard boots. Even though I think the boots are a good buy, but it is a bit pricey. It keeps your feet very warm and has a few cool features that other boots don't have (ankle molded liner, inner velcro strap, shock absorber etc). It does require some break-in time as the first time I used it, it was really snug and tight.

The boots feel true to its size, so you should hit up your local snowboard shop and get an idea of your true size and not shoes size. For example, I like to wear size 10 shoes as it is most comfortable, but I have to get a size 9 for snowboard boots as it is most snug and responsive when I board.

What color snowboard boots & bindings work well?

Hi there, i am in the market to get a new pair of boots and bindings from the Burton 2008 Womens range. I have a beige jacket, camo pants and red accessories (gloves/goggles). I was thinking of going for the Red Stiletto bindings and the Red Mint boots. Will it be too red? Or should i stay safe and go the Tan/Brown tone to match?

I am open to suggestions. If you could please refer to the 2008 Burton Womens range currently on the website and give me a few ideas for different setups which would work well with my clothes. Purely judging them by aesethics only please.

What color snowboard boots %26amp; bindings work well?
well... if you're only judging them by looks, and price or quality don't matter to you, and you only want burton gear...

these bindings

What kind of boots does Lara Croft wear?

I've been playing Tomb Raider Anniversary on the PC. I know her boots are a generic design and not brand-specific. But I was wondering which brands of hiking boots were good that look like the ones she wears. Is there one company that originated that design?

There are things called boxer boots that are quite similar also in my pirecing shop they sell clothes and shoes which look proper like them. Try any kind of grunger shop or skate shop. Hope this helps x

Ugg Boots???

I was going to buy real Ugg boots around December but I couldn't find any in stock, They are back in stock now but why spend all the money when they are only in season for like a month. So my 1st question is does the price onn uggs go down in the summer? And my 2nd question is will they even be in style next winter?

Thanks xoxo

Ugg Boots???
yes it will go on sale in the summer but i think it will go out of style
Reply:uggs will alwaiz be in style.
Reply:uggs are always in style

and no the price does not change in the summer
Reply:answer to question one: probably not online. At the store the might go on the clearance rack as no one will be buying them really.

answer to question two: probably not. fashion changes so quickly. It's probably be something else next year.
Reply:Uggs have been in fashion for the last 5 years.. This year they've been more popular than ever.. I doubt they will go down in price.. Short uggs aren't too bad in summer (if you're in a cooler climate)..
Reply:the prices dont go down in the summer.

and boots will always be in style :]
Reply:Slouchy boots are way more in style now. The price is always too high.
Reply:They come back in style every winter, but the price will not go down in the summer... i don't think, but if it does, it won't be very much

Anyone ever tried Boots' tea tree+ witch hazel scrub?

as for make-up, i love natural collection, i use their foundation all the time. its all really cheap aswell, which is a bonus. hope this helps : )

Horse Boots help?

OK now I really can't decide. I've been thinking of getting horse boots but I'm really not sure if I need them for my horse, what they really do (well I know they protect and support but...) and which one's should I get?

I don't really compete. I just have fun around the stables with my friends. We play games, jump, trail rides with a bit of XC and do a little bit of dressage and pony club.

I can only buy one type, I'm looking at these ones,

https://www.horseland.com.au/Catalogue/W...

They're Roma, mainly the ones on page 2 and 3, splint, open, competitors, jump, and I have no idea which ones to buy.

Basically which ones should I buy for allrounder stuff?

Horse Boots help?
Hey fellow Aussie...

The roma boots are cheap and effective... if you horse is prone to clipping his joints of tendons then you need to go with a high support one... like the jump boots

link - https://www.horseland.com.au/shop/shopex...

But if your horse hasnt clipped him self yet and you just want to have some peice of mind while doing sporting etc. then i would highly recommend a good splint boot like this

link- https://www.horseland.com.au/shop/shopex...

i have alot of different boots and i would say i use my splint boots most as they are easy to use, comfy for the horses to wear, and light... they also offer a good support and protection.

One final thought, if you horse isnt shod you dont need to protect his legs as much as if he were shod, as its the shoes that are heavy and do most of the damage...

good luck and have fun :)
Reply:I would recommend them if you jumping and even on trails, just check them often. You should find reviews for the brands.

First also ways make sure you don't put on to big or too tight boots. Don't use shipping boots 'cause they can fall off. Professionals Choice is great.

I hope if you jump often or even over 10 in. that you have a trainer (that shows/ed in what they're training) and English saddle %26amp; tall boots! :D
Reply:I don't know why you think that you need any boots at all. If your horse is not having a specific problem and you do not know what the boots do...what is the point. You say that you do not compete, and that you just have fun around the barn and trail ride. Nothing wrong with that...I do the same thing and have never used boots on my horses for anything...hauling, trail, etc etc...no boots. I have not lost a horse because of it yet. Save your money, doubtfull if you really need them
Reply:These boots will protect against bumps and bruises but they don't offer any support. I would get the Professional's Choice Sports Medicine boots instead. But that's just me. I believe they offer more protection, including support.
Reply:i use woof boots http://www.claytonanimalfeeds.co.uk/MidP...
Reply:im like you - i dont compete

i just have fun doing random stuff.

i dont use boots, ive thought about it but never bought any.

but roma is a good brand and i'd probly get the splint boots.

yay horseland :D
Reply:the splint boots or the performance boots will be perfect.

Cute rubber muck boots?

Does anyone know where I can find cute rubber boots, without spending $60,like on dover(the joules wellie).Because I know I could go to wal-mart and get a pair of plain rubber boots for$12 (like I already have)

Cute rubber muck boots?
Do you have Costco?? They have some really cute ones, and that's where I got mine :D I'd also check at your local tack shops and horse supply stores, they often have some cute wellies. Good luck!!
Reply:Wellie rip-offs have become very popular lately...tons of stores are carrying rubber boots in all kinds of patterns. If you don't like what you see in the stores and Dover is charging too much, you could try www.zappos.com - they have a big selection of all sorts of Wellie-type boots that are probably better made than Wal-Mart's stuff, and some appear to be taller than the rain boots sold in stores.

I like real Wellies myself...they are extremely well made and comfortable, and I don't have to worry about them breaking or having teeny holes in them that will let water seep in. They last forever...I figure it's easier to invest in them than it is to get several pairs of a lesser brand over the years.
Reply:Tractor Supply had some cute ones with designs when I was in there the other day... I forget the brand name.
Reply:I found a pair of adorable pair of rubber boots for $20 at Target. They are perfectly fine for mucking out stalls and bathing horses. They fit nicely in western stirrups. They are black with white polka dot all over them and I wear them year round. I hope this helped some! Good luck in finding a cute pair of boots!
Reply:Here are a bunch: http://www.bizrate.com/equestrianclothin...
Reply:there are a ton of cute pairs at target. i tend to go there instead of wal-mart for everything, because they are much more style-savvy. their wellies are adorable.

they are around $18 BEFORE sale!!! and unlike zappos you can actually try them on for proper fit first. i've included the link for all their wellies, but they have an argyle pattern and a houndstooth pattern that are so preppy. very j.crew-ish.

I have a pair of Ugg boots that have been cut by a clothing rack. I walked by the clothing rack and it sliced?

through one of the boots. The cut is about one inch on the top or the boot. How can I repair it myself? what would work? the cut goes righ through the boot.

Thanks!

I have a pair of Ugg boots that have been cut by a clothing rack. I walked by the clothing rack and it sliced?
Take it to a cobbler.

However I doubt if it can be repaired invisibly.

What you could do (if you are brave and reckless!) is cut the other one to match and then sew each cut/slit up - maybe with an overlapping stitch - so they look like a design feature. (You'd need a leather needle and strong thread in a colour that matches the boots)!

Whatever you decide, one thing is certain: - it's much, much better that it was the boots which got sliced - than if you hadn't been wearing them and it was your leg!
Reply:If they are tall ugg boots perhaps you could fold them over or have them converted to short uggs? But unfortunately I don't think there is much else you can do... They will still keep your feet warm though : )
Reply:haha.cheap UGGLy boots.
Reply:sew it

Reply:i have no clue how you can fix it yourself. try bringing it somewhere professional. after all, they are Uggs. You dont want to risk ruining a pair of $120+ Uggs boots even more.

Best boots/goggles/gloves for snowboarding?

im starting to s.boarding this weekend, before that, i wanna get the boots, googles and gloves. (for now, ill rent the binding and board.)

which brands are good? (i dont mean "best",cuz im a newbie and dont wanna waste the expensive ones =) )

Best boots/goggles/gloves for snowboarding?
mammot gloves, they may cost a bit more but man are they worth it I tried 5 gloves on the slopes and my hands froze to death

goggles - smith, get anti-fog and you will be good they work great and don't cost that much, you don't need dragon or oakley googles cost alot more don't work any better\

Boots- Burton Mint, not too spendy comfy
Reply:for a beginner, price points will prob be your best friend, in goggles, just try to make sure that you have venitlation so that they don't stay fogged up.....

your gloves just need to be waterproof and that's really the most important thing,

as for boots, que is right, you just need to go to a store, there's no such thing as the "best" it's really what works best for you....you want to make sure that they are comfortable, and don't pinch too hard on your calf muscles, or the top of your foot. keep them snug but not so tight they hurt or cut off circulation.
Reply:For a noob go to Marshalls and get some goggles and gloves there. They'll do for now and you can upgrade later when you decide you want to. There is no right or wrong in terms of boots. Go to a good store and get fitted. See what feels comfortable. Don't go too cheap but don't feel like you need to drop a lot of loot either. anywhere from $150-$250 should get you something good. Personally I like DC but I've heard good things about Salomon, especially for girls.
Reply:Boots - Vans

Goggles - Spy

Gloves - Demon
Reply:as long as you get waterproof gloves you should be fine there. i reccomend going to a ski shop for the other things
Reply:Boots - thirtytwo makes some great boots. As far as the grand scheme of boots goes they're not ridiculously priced and are really good quality. They'll be able to last you a few seasons and are important to your riding. Good boots should have an inner liner that you can lace up separately from the outside. That's well worth paying a few bucks extra for because it makes doing the boot up way way easier. It might be tempting to just straight up buy the cheapest boots but if your feet aren't changing much then buy some nice ones.

Gloves - anything that will keep your hands warm and is waterproof. No best brand.

Goggles - look for something with a double lens because that will help them not fog up. An amber or "persimmon" colour is the most versatile.

All in all brands don't matter too much but keep in mind that if you buy the absolute cheapest of anything and you get into riding you'll have to replace it before too long. Check with the mountain you're heading to, you could probably rent some goggles and gloves up there and save yourself a few bucks on that.

What boots should I get ?

I am obssessed with the new crochet UGGS that have buttons down one of the sides, but I dont think they have them in Canada. Other than those, I also like the normal chocolate UGGS. Any other suggestions of what kind of boots I should get ? They don't have to be warm, and I want something that I can wear for like everyday use.

they match everything. i can wear them with skirts with socks pocking out the top, or with jeans tucked into them. they can also roll partway down for a different look

Heard the one about the Cowboy Boots?

An elderly couple, Margaret and Bert, moved to Texas. Bert always wanted a pair of authentic cowboy boots, so, seeing some on sale, he bought them and wore them home.

Walking proudly, he sauntered into the kitchen and said to his wife,'Notice anything different about me?'

Margaret looked him over. 'Nope.'

Frustrated, Bert stormed off into the bathroom, undressed and walked back into the kitchen completely naked except for the boots.Again he asked Margaret, a little louder this time, 'Notice anything different NOW?'

Margaret looked up and exclaimed, 'Bert, what's different? It's hanging down today, it was hanging down yesterday, it'll be hanging down again tomorrow!!'

Furious, Bert yelled, 'AND DO YOU KNOW WHY IT'S HANGING DOWN, MARGARET?''

'Nope', she replied.

'IT'S HANGING DOWN, BECAUSE IT'S LOOKING AT MY NEW BOOTS!!!!''

Without changing her expression, Margaret replied, 'Shoulda bought a hat, Bert. Shoulda bought a hat.'

What Boots the metabolism?

What Boots it? What types of excirise, food, etc..??????????

What Boots the metabolism?
To boot your metabolism, you need to eat alot of foods with high protein, and then exercise lightly to heavy. It helps your metabolism work faster, and yet your not killing yourself. Because if you try to diet with starving yourself, you metabolism actually slows down.
Reply:weight training and intensive exercise

The biggest myth is that eating more often increase metabolism, there are scientific studies that prove this wrong.

But eating smaller meals more often is still MUCH better than eating 3 big meals due to other added benefits ( insulin, macro nutrient control, etc )
Reply:to "boost" you metabolism start eating 4-5 small, healthy, meals throughout the day.

keep food in stomach so your metabolism is always working

Combat boots too small?

I went to a resale shop today and bought these amazing combat boots, that are just perfect.

The only problem is, I only tried them on for a second in the store and now that I'm walking around in them they hurt a little.

Is there any chance (or way you could suggest) they may at least break in a LITTLE bit more than they already have around my feet, or will the blisters they give me make them to painful to wear?

Combat boots too small?
I'm pretty sure you could stretch them...

I dont remember exactly how to do that though. I think you get the leather wet, and use this thing (I dont remember its name...)

But you could always take them to a shop that specializes in that sort of thing.

You know, the same thing happened to me! Well, my brother in-law got them for me from God-knows-where, 'cause he knew I'd love them! I've just been sort of sucking it up, and wearing them anyways.

good luck!

The deal is now that certain boots are not authorized, these include those with zippers on the side, or velcro straps and what not. You can wear the Oakley 8" but not the 6", I would recommend these, super comfortable, breathable and lightweight. You can get these at oakley.com, but you can get them super cheap by going to usstandardissue.com. That is Oakleys government sales website, you will need to send them a copy of your military ID and once they receive it you will get cheap everything oakley.
Reply:Its up to your chain of command some do not care what boots you wear as long as its tan and some only want you to wear the issued ones I see a lot of people wearing the converse boots with the zipper.
Reply:no i can't tell you sorry

What kind of boots/wraps are these and where can I buy them?

The boots/wraps I'm asking about can be seen on the cover of the May 2008 equus magazine.

I don't know if they are like a sports medicine boot, or if it's a wrap with electrical tape at the top to secure it. I've only seen them on race/steeple chase horses. I've seen them in lots or different colors also. If anyone can tell me what they are, what benefits come from them, and where I can buy some, that would be great!

Thanks!

That's vetwrap with tape at the top. It's commonly used on racehorses, but I've never seen it used on any other horses. Maybe it has something to do with the cost. Vetwrap usually runs at $1.00-$1.50 per roll, verses getting reuseable polo wraps for $15.00 for a set of four. The advantages of vetwrap would be: (1) will no come undone under any circumstance (2) doesn't hold water/ change support when wet (3) no danger of slipping if applied correctly (4) rundown patches are easily adhered under the fetlock

Disadvantages would be: (1) Cost (2) has to be cut off after use (3) easy to get it too tight and damage the leg
Reply:They could be splint boots or sport boots. You can get all those types of things from www.sstack.com or even check www.statelinetack.com

Boots can serve mulitple purposes. If you do a lot of jumping, barrel racing, reining, stuff like that....the boots help support the horse's tendons, ligaments, bone structure, etc in the lower leg. Some people wrap with just standard wraps/track bandages, or polos for support. If you have a horse that reaches far with their feet and clips its own legs, wraps can protect from that also.

Good luck!
Reply:i think they are usually only for racing, but i do hunters and i think ive seen some around the barn.

they probably do what most wraps and boots do, which is protect the horses legs and fetlocks.
Reply:Check with Greenhawk, they have lots of racing boots and if they dont have those EXACT ones they will have something similar!
Reply:I believe those are wraps. You can find all kinds of wraps and boots at Chicks Discount Saddlery. Here's a link.
