How do I stop my boots squeaking?

My brown leather Timberland boots (not the sand boot style more of a 'hiking boot') squeak like crazy when I walk. I feel like an idiot. What can I do to stop it?

Reply:There is a saying that shoes squeak when they haven't been paid for?? Not sure where that came from. I'd suggest using a good wax polish to soften them up.

Reply:In cartoons, the character usually pulls out a can of oil, and 'puttt, putt' the creaking is gone. Usually boots creak because of the stiffness of the leather. Try using some silicone wax to soften it. Don't use natural wax that can harden when cold and only make it worse. Check also the eyelets to see if there is any friction that may be causing the squeaking. Wax those as well.

3) even the type of ground you walk on e.g. laminated flooring??





4) Remove the insole





5) Pour some baby powder inside the shoe, then put the insole back in the shoe





6) if you step differently they may stop the squeaking





7) if the shoe is new it will squeek a bit





8) or they might just need broken in (worn more)





9) don't do any thing about it if you like the shoes

Reply:No but once in P.E., we ran in wet grass and I didn't bring extra socks, so for the rest of the day, I walked around without socks in my new black bearpaws. When I got home, my feet (heels) were black because of the dye they put in the sheepskin.

I tend to wear my black boots with tights and either a skirt or tunics. You could also pair it with a dress for a night out.

You could wear hosiery and boots with either a skirt or a dress. I see them often with skirts. For many people, skirts are just half of a dress, so you could probably make them work with either.





These days, hosiery works well with all types of people.

Boots Advantage Card?

I'm 16 and I've noticed that I shop quite a lot at Boots. Is it possible for me to get an Advantage Card, or do I have to be atleast 18? Also, I know you get 4 points for every 1 pound you spend, but how many do you need to spend to get something worth 1 pound?

It is basically any age as I have had one since I was 10 so you will definatly be aloud one. The points are 4 for every pound as you know and 100 points are worth a pound.

Chestnut, tall uggs. Nightfall style. Warm, fuzzy, durable, fashionable, couldn't live with out them! I wear them with Skirts, short shorts with leggings, and jeans(tuck the jeans in)

i dont think they are uggs but they are flat and it has fur on the top but its got like a flap thats folded outwards and the flap has fur on it. they mostly come in black or cream. please could anyone tell me the name of them or where to get them

Reply:There was boots that fit that description from american eagle in the winter , they came in black, cream and brown. They aren't for sale anymore though.


They could also be emu's, they can fold over.


Or UGG's, but they don't fold over so well. But keep in mind Ugg's come in many different styles, so these people could be wearing a different one.
