Army boots?

Is there a website out there that tells me what desert tan boots are authorized for wear? Plus any suggestions on certain brands. I'm looking for max comfort plus light weight.

Army boots?
The deal is now that certain boots are not authorized, these include those with zippers on the side, or velcro straps and what not. You can wear the Oakley 8" but not the 6", I would recommend these, super comfortable, breathable and lightweight. You can get these at oakley.com, but you can get them super cheap by going to usstandardissue.com. That is Oakleys government sales website, you will need to send them a copy of your military ID and once they receive it you will get cheap everything oakley.
Reply:Its up to your chain of command some do not care what boots you wear as long as its tan and some only want you to wear the issued ones I see a lot of people wearing the converse boots with the zipper.
Reply:no i can't tell you sorry

What kind of boots/wraps are these and where can I buy them?

The boots/wraps I'm asking about can be seen on the cover of the May 2008 equus magazine.

https://store.primediamags.com/subscribe...

I don't know if they are like a sports medicine boot, or if it's a wrap with electrical tape at the top to secure it. I've only seen them on race/steeple chase horses. I've seen them in lots or different colors also. If anyone can tell me what they are, what benefits come from them, and where I can buy some, that would be great!

Thanks!

What kind of boots/wraps are these and where can I buy them?
That's vetwrap with tape at the top. It's commonly used on racehorses, but I've never seen it used on any other horses. Maybe it has something to do with the cost. Vetwrap usually runs at $1.00-$1.50 per roll, verses getting reuseable polo wraps for $15.00 for a set of four. The advantages of vetwrap would be: (1) will no come undone under any circumstance (2) doesn't hold water/ change support when wet (3) no danger of slipping if applied correctly (4) rundown patches are easily adhered under the fetlock

Disadvantages would be: (1) Cost (2) has to be cut off after use (3) easy to get it too tight and damage the leg
Reply:They could be splint boots or sport boots. You can get all those types of things from www.sstack.com or even check www.statelinetack.com

Boots can serve mulitple purposes. If you do a lot of jumping, barrel racing, reining, stuff like that....the boots help support the horse's tendons, ligaments, bone structure, etc in the lower leg. Some people wrap with just standard wraps/track bandages, or polos for support. If you have a horse that reaches far with their feet and clips its own legs, wraps can protect from that also.

Good luck!
Reply:i think they are usually only for racing, but i do hunters and i think ive seen some around the barn.

they probably do what most wraps and boots do, which is protect the horses legs and fetlocks.
Reply:Check with Greenhawk, they have lots of racing boots and if they dont have those EXACT ones they will have something similar!
Reply:I believe those are wraps. You can find all kinds of wraps and boots at Chicks Discount Saddlery. Here's a link.

I have to make one assumption - you are using a USB interface. Make sure first that it is a working drive then set the jumpers on the drive for master, NOT for cable select (which is the default setting) then try it again.
Reply:Try ti uninstall the hard drive and then reboot and let windows find it again.

Ugg boots for sale?

does anyone know a good website or sumthing where I can find ugg boots for cheaper? Everything on ebay is just outrageous. Anywhere where I can find private buyers with slightly used product?

Ugg boots for sale?
Craigslist.org. Best place to find used stuff.
Reply:you know, I bought my daughter ugg boots on ebay for 139 before christmas, then she had wanted another type of boot, so I relisted them and sold them for 180. I dont know why they sold for more after christmas, but you might be able to get lucky and find some on craigslist. they just arent cheap anywhere. I wish they were, I ant a new pair, I love them :)
Reply:Ugg boots are the devils vomit. In shoe form.
Reply:ebay would have been my best guess. however, i think ugg boots are the worst thing ever created. from my (a guy) point of view, they are ugly and i hate them. possibly amazon, overstock.com, or other good big shopping sites.
Reply:I am not sure where you at . You can try of their discounted shopping onlines.

Good luck!!!
Reply:You should try Craig's list, i have found many things there cheep and its free. Un-like ebay you have to pay a percentage to them.
Reply:It will be hard to find them cheaper now that they are sold out in most stores until March-May, And most online stores no longer have them but you can give www.exquistefashions.com a try they may still have some.

Can i squish size 8.5 boots into M size bindings?

Female boot size 8.5 in ladies Medium bindings? Will this be impossible? Both Burton products and i know that the M size bindings are for boot sizes up to 8 but is it not going to work at all if i get boots a half size bigger? Need some insight.

Can i squish size 8.5 boots into M size bindings?
The question is do you want to. sure you probably can but if it is uncomfortible and doesnt give you as much control then do you really want to? If you have a shop nearby you then just go and just check if they fit well or if they seem not to. chances are yes they will fit but i dont like to leave things up to chance when buying my gear. if you dont have a store around you then just email burton and see what they tell you... thats the best advice i can give you
Reply:Definately grab a medium. You want to be able to get into the smallest binding size possible unless you want to be swimming in your bindings. I have 8.5 in men burtons and I use a medium burton binding and I still have plenty of room. Even if your boot is big for the binding you can make out the binding settings so it fits a bigger boot. So grab a medium.
Reply:It depends on the boots.

If the boot sole fits proberly in the binding's base, and you can get the straps to start without too much effort (to get the ratchet to engage) it should be fine. 1/2 size is very little difference in the overall scheme of things.

I seriously doubt it will hurt anything to try.

But try it at home on the carpet or lawn before you buy a lift ticket.

Make sure you try putting the bindings on while you are sitting on the ground, just like you would do on a slope.

If they hold your foot in place, there should be no problem.
Reply:I have burton citizen binding's with an 8 boot and their almost too tight, but they still fit, I wouldnt risk it though. In my experience it depends on the length of the straps, because thats my almost problem. Yanking on the straps to get them into the buckle is not lots of fun, especially when your butt is freezing cold! If i were you I'd go to the store and definetly get them fitted.

Have fun if your lucky enough have fun doing some summer boarding!
Reply:i wouldn't worry bout it too much. it depends on how big around the boot is. i wear size 9 1/2 boots an have always used medium bindings. an just like antwan said.. the bindings do adjust some. if you special order from a store and they don't fit, they'll generally send them back for you. if not just get them online. i've never seen a website that didn't have a return policy.
Reply:You dont want to " squash: anything, you want it to fit nice nice. Just go to a dealer and get fitted. Keep in mind that you can adjust burton binding straps to fit a little bigger size
Reply:don't do it,my bro. tried to fit his boots in to my bindings it was not a good idea
Reply:you should be fine just make sure the straps are centered on your boots aka adjust them to fit your boots but it shouldnt be a problem

Reply:I suppose you can roll them down however it might be difficult because the boot is not very wide at the top. Also it would take away the cute ribbon design that goes all the way to the top of the boot.

Ballet boots? Thinking of buying a set -- has anyone tried them?

I've been for a few weeks about thinking of buying a set -- obviously not for everyday wear, just for at home with my BF :)

Do they take a lot of practice to walk in? For how long a time is it possible to wear them? (I've worn 7" heels before, but never ballet boots)

And yes, I know that I'll need to be careful not to damage my feet! No need to point that out.

P.S. Wikipedia has a picture and description of ballet boots if you've never come across them:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ballet_boot...

Ballet boots? Thinking of buying a set -- has anyone tried them?
First of it's a fetish show derived from the pointe, when using a pointe shoe it takes immense practice to develop the perfect curve and balance. Without such practice, pain and maybe foot disfigurement will ensue. One must have strong feet to dance on pointe, therefore you would have to such in order to walk in pointe boots.

But practice slowly when using the shoe, most likely with a support such as the top on a chair or bar, and attempt to move around in the boots with a turn out, it can be slight. Even though it has a heel, balance will be difficult but with practice it will be easier, somewhat from a month to get the balance you want and the comfortably. And always ask the salesperson or maker for more information.

Have fun with the shoes...and your bf.

Charley's 'Gucci' Boots?

Have you heard the joke about the teacher and the cowboy boots?

Did you hear about the Texas teacher who was helping one of her kindergarten students put on his cowboy boots?

He asked for help and she could see why. Even with her pulling and him pushing, the little boots still didn't want to go on. By the time they got the second boot on, she had worked up a sweat. She almost cried when the little boy said, "Teacher, they're on the wrong feet!." She looked, and sure enough, they were.

It wasn't any easier pulling the boots off than it was putting them on. She managed to keep her cool as together they worked to get the boots back on, this time on the right feet.

He then announced, "These aren't my boots!" She bit her tongue rather than get right in his face and scream, "why didn't you say so?", like she wanted to. Once again, she struggled to help him pull the ill-fitting boots off his little feet.

No sooner had they gotten the boots off when he said, "they're my brother's boots. My Mom made me wear 'em. Now she didn't know if she should laugh or cry. But, she mustered up what grace and courage she had left to wrestle the boots on his feet again.

Helping him into his coat, she asked, "now, where are your mittens?"

He said, "I stuffed 'em in the toes of my boots."

She will be eligible for parole in three years…..

Best boots for Flow bindings?

I've just got a new set of Flow bindings and I'm finding that my old boots are starting to make my feet hurt. A friend said that my old boots might be too stiff and a softer pair might be best. Do any of you guys have an opinion on this, or even better suggest a pair of boots for me to try?

Best boots for Flow bindings?
I have flow bindings and I use Burton Moto boots. They work well and are soft. There are probably much better boots to use if you have a higher price range, but Motos work fine.
Reply:Salomon f22 are a real nice soft boot they make you go down 1 size on the binding chart and plus they are 1 of the overall best boot's I've ridden. every one at my ski shop has a pair. oh and the Salomon fdb boot are real good and soft but they are more freestyle feel

Hope that helps

Baby Boots...?

My son is 20 months old, he wears size 4 shoes, well the shoes he has now are 3, but I think he's gonna need size 4. I can't find any winter boots in his size. The smallest I can find are size 5. I've found girl's boots but none for boys. I've tried, wal-mart, k-mart, old navy, gap, and payless. Has anyone found baby winter boots anywhere? I really don't want to order them online, my son is kinda hard to fit.

Baby Boots...?
You can usually get cheap shoes on ebay.com. I'd try there. Buy a few sizes then if one doesn't fit you can just relist it and make back what you paid for them. Good luck!
Reply:www.endless.com - free overnight shipping and free 365 day returns

I order all of our shoes on these websites now. Try the Ummi's for kids, they are great shoes!
Reply:if you have to order them online, try lands end. Also try their overstocks first, lots cheaper. Or see your near a lands end inlet or your sears carries them. Keep in mind, you can always go up a size with warm socks. Plus feet totally go thru growth spurts. Our son at 20 months went up 2 sizes in 4 months over the summer.

http://www.landsend.com/ix/boys-clothing...
Reply:Sorry I don't know the answer to your question. I just wanted to say those are crazy small feet for a 20 month old. My son is 14 months and he wears a size 7(which is big)
Reply:buy them big, they won't fit for long anyway.
Reply:If you mean snow boots? go for the size 5 as they are so padded and they come up smaller anyway. My youngest is a size 5 and we have size 7 snowboot thats just fine. If you get really stuck, buy a pair of baby gap sport socks, the kind with the non-slip lettering on the sole. That will increase his foot size by 1 size.
Reply:while the little baby boots are cute if he's not actually going to be walking outside in the snow he doesn't need them. If you're just trying to keep his feet warm buy thicker socks or double up on them and buy a bigger shoe. And then when spring is here and he only needs one pair of socks they will still fit.
Reply:Maybe you should try somewhere that sells only shoes. You could buy a larger size for they outgrow them so fast.
Reply:try target, usually payless has them if you find some in one payless and you dont want to keep going from on to the next you can ask the cashier and she can tell you if any of the paylesses in your area have them in his size. All of there computers are linked to gether so they can pull up if the other stores have them. I hope this helps

Sport boots for a horse???

ok This may seem like a silly question to some but can anyone explain to me the meaning of horse boots?? I have a front pair of proffessional choice sports med boots for my horse that I rarley use......I have gotten comments from people of why i have them on her at times?? Do horses need boots on when you are just lunging them? I do walk trot canter with my horse in the arena should i have some sort of protective wear on her legs? thanks in advance for any advice .......I know people put all the fancy stuff on their horses just becasue and i would like to know if I need anything for just plain simple pleasure riding

Sport boots for a horse???
for plain and simple riding - hacking doing walk and trot, i tend not to use boots. when i pick things up and bit and either canter or gallop, i like to use brushing boots. just standard cheap ones. if i am jumping, i use brushing boots and overreach boots.

Its best to provide some sort of protection for your horses legs when you begin to do faster and more challenging things as your horses legs are your horse - without them, you have no horse to ride.

while jumping, the horse can knock the jumps with the legs, catch the front with the rear etc so it is advisable to protect, but dont over do it.

While hacking, if canter and gallop work is planned, just fronts should be fine.

Sell your Sports med boots - too expensive and too much protection for what you need. get a pair of Woof Wear or Shires brushing boots. (back pair as well if you are jumping).

You may see people on tv with their horses booted up to the nines - this is because of what they use the horse for. my sister does showing so refuses to go anywhere without all four legs booted and protected - this is to make sure his legs dont get knocked or bashed that might out him down in the show ring.
Reply:We only use the skid boots or splint boots when the horses will be ridden hard, like at a team roping event or trail riding, depending on the terrain. We do not put them on when we are just riding in the arena to exercise them.

If I am working a horse for someone ( I green break a few now %26amp; then to keep me out of trouble)then I will place the whole she-bang on them just to get them use to having stuff like that one in case the owner decides to use them if they are needed.

I would say that general, riding in an arena or lunging I wouldn't think they would be needed...
Reply:many horses need boots to protect their legs when they're running because they rub together. But many others just use it for extra leg support and protection, this goes too for polo raps. Bell boots are for hoof protection and regular boots are for the legs and tendons.

i recommend neoprene sport boots and the neoprene regular splint boots
Reply:They wear Neighike or Reehhheheheheheebok.
Reply:It really depends on what you're doing with your horse and how "safe" you really want to be. I may get thumbs down for this, but I have to admit I don't own a pair of boots for my horses. I don't show, rodeo, jump, or compete at all, and I've never had a horse injure a leg while riding. I know accidents can always happen, but I grew up on a cattle ranch riding and training colts, and we just didn't use them. My sister had splint boots for her barrel racing horse, and that's it.

If you are roping, barrel racing, jumping, or reining--anything that requires speed, turns, etc....I would suggest using boots. Even when practicing, a horse can over-reach with it's hind legs and hit the back of the front hooves. Especially if your horses wear shoes (mine don't)...you just have to determine if the situation requires your horse to wear protective boots. A lot of people put them on their horse just for a trailer trip. I'm in no way saying you don't need them. I don't use them, but they're a good thing to use....just like riders wearing helmets. It's the safe thing to do. You decide how safe you wanna be.
Reply:No, for simple, non-strenuous pleasure riding, you don't normally need boots.

Many people put these sports boots on their horses for added leg support for strenuous activity, for instance, jumping large jumps, running cross country, endurance riding, etc.

The boots can also protect the horse's legs from hitting things they are jumping over, or from hitting one leg with another leg while they are moving. In general, the boots are for protection and support.

I would say that if you are a casual pleasure rider, not doing strenuous activities, jumping large jumps, or galloping around and doing sport activities (barrel racing, etc), and your horse hasn't had any leg injuries in the past, you probably don't need the boots.
Reply:I always put all 4 of my leg wraps on my horse because they protect her legs....horses can get badly cut if their back legs hit their front or my like sticks and other stuff. I also heard that leg wraps help from horses going lame. We also barrel race and it is highly recommended to have something there protecting their legs.
Reply:I don't use boots of any description, never have..I once used a wrap on a friends horse that I was riding because for some strange reason, it clipped itself too often when just out on the trail, so there was a distinct reason for this particular wrap. Other wise, this boot and wrapping thing is another marketing gimick that the newcomers or kids think that in order to look cool they must have them on their horse.

horses dont really need any boots, but it may help them. for w/t/c all-purpose boots are fine. pleasure riding isnt as strenuous as other types, so the horse should be fine without anything.

But since you do such little work, what would be suitable are some polo raps or simple front splint boots.

These boots....?

Would I be able to roll these boots down?

Like Uggs, so that there is fur at the top of the boot?

That is fur inside the boot right??

These boots....?
I think you might be able to do that ..but i am not sure if it would look good because of the ribbon that comes with the boot ! Maybe ...if you took the ribbon off it would look great ! Hope this helps ..good luck !

:]
Reply:ive gotta agree with broken glass

thats the first time ive ever seen them and im horrified!!!

how can anyone walk in those!? and also.....ouch!!!

and whats the point of buying them just for wearing at home? just seems a bit pointless if you ask me.

And if saw you when i was out i would probably laugh at you...no offence

Charley's 'Gucci' Boots?

Why does Charley have to let everyone know where her stuff is from and how much it cost, that is a sign of someone who needs attention, when Seany put water in her boots she called them "my £170 Ugg boots" and last night she complained about her "Gucci Boots" its pathetic. I have lots and lots of designer shoes and boots, but don't refer to them by their name! She is so pathetic, why does she do that?

Good luck!
Reply:www.endless.com - free overnight shipping and free 365 day returns

www.piperlime.com - free shipping and returns

I can see wearing them when gaming or jumping, again...there is a reason for the protective gear, other wise forget the garb.

I haul horses regularly many times who have shoes on for many miles and many hours...never wrap and do not have a problem with the horses. I guess you might say it is a personal thing if you feel the need to use them...use them,

Ladies boots in Singapore?

I'm going to Singapore soon. I want to know where i can buy those boots - furry ones, white leather any kinds (u know, the type that celebrities always wear)- with reasonable price ofcourse! .

(ladies boots btw, none of those army boots)

N where is the best place to go shoe shopping in Singapore with great discounts? I know that Singapore has great grand sale, but i want to know which shopping places are highly recommended?

Ladies boots in Singapore?
The sale in Singapore is called the Great Singapore Sale (GSS). There are only a few more common shops around Singapore with outlets throughout the island but I would think M.A.D has a wider range of boots that are cheap (eg. S$49.90 a pair). You can try shopping at City Plaza (near Paya Lebar MRT) which is like a wholesale centre. Another option would be Far East along Orchard Road (not the cheapest avenue but there's varity and things are more unique). Give it a try!

Stretch the leather or resell on ebay at a loss! You might get that much can't ever tell!

i am normally very certain in my fashion taste but this time i have a question lol. i bought these thigh high boots (literally i mean) they are leather and they are flat boots so no heels which makes them casual..ooks great with skinny jeans) i just feel weird wearing them since they are so high in the thigh ( LOL reminds me of pretty woman boots with no shine and heels) i guess i cant know with out wearing them out for once...do anyof you own a thigh high boots? i am just waiting to see what my husband has to say LOL ( btw we are young i am 23)

How bout these boots?
Girl you better Rock them boots they sound hot you must wear them, with the skinny jeans like you said. Enjoy them they will be out of season soon.
Reply:Thigh high boots can be tacky but from wat ur describeing the ones u have seem to be fine.

Tactical Boots: Ever tried the Oakley US Standard Issue SI Assault Boots?

I was just curious about theses boots. I just got hired onto a DOE SRT Team and am going to be reimbursed up to $250 for boots. Trying to figure out the best way to spend that money. I'm thinking a couple pair of Bates Defender Durashocks or some 5.11 ATAC's, or maybe even one of each. Might even consider just getting one really good pair of Danners. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Tactical Boots: Ever tried the Oakley US Standard Issue SI Assault Boots?
Oakleys are good boots, no doubt. If they're going to buy you a new pair every year, go for it.

If you only get this $250 one time, though, I would go with 2 pair of 5.11s or 3 pair of Bates.
Reply:Get the Oakleys, if you're reimbursed. The Bates and Danners are just standard boots and not really that comfortable. The Oakleys are more like a hi tech athletic shoe and feel great to be in.

Black shirt brown boots?

hey guys, really quick, i have to run and meet somebody... i have a black 3/4 knit with white dress shirt collar that has black lines.... light jeans... brown boots. i am too far from home to run back and get my black boots and this shirt and pair of boots is all i have to change into. can this work!? the boots are a reddish brown, more brown. they arent quite chocolate. HELP!

Black shirt brown boots?
black boots are way better, but if you are too far from home, just go with what you have
Reply:that's a definite no. you just shouldnt wear brown and black together. in my opinion it doesnt look right.
Reply:Well no, but nothing you can do about it now. In my opinion, if you want to pair black and brown, it's best to stick to tan.
Reply:They'll look fine
Reply:ALERT!!!! ALERT!!!!! MAJOR FASHION FAUX PAS IF I HAVE EVER SEEN ONE. DIRECT YOURSELF STRAIGHT HOME AND GET THE MATCHING BOOTS!!!!!
Reply:that shud work. I mean you can't do anything else about it. Good Luck!
Reply:no!!! faskion police rules!!!!
Reply:yes that will work
Reply:Black boots would be much better but one time is not going to hurt. Hopefully no one will notice.
Reply:If it's your only choice it will have to do. By your description... it doesn't seem like it would be too noticable...

Anyone own these boots or have you heard anything good about them?

I was just seaching online for boots and I noticed women's boots are lame, so I'm getting a pair of men boots in a size 6. These are the only size 6 I came across on eBay. Any other sites I need to check out if these aren't good?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AXO-RED-B...

Anyone own these boots or have you heard anything good about them?
Yes, i've heard of AXO, ..to be honest, those boots look lame, try Gaerne.........http://www.motostrano.com/gaerneboots.ht...
Reply:Just go to Farm and Fleet and buy some workboots. You can try them on to make sure they fit. AND they're not lame. All your big TV motorcycle stars like Jesse James just wear a pair of worn out work boots, in case you haven't noticed.
Reply:just purchace a pair of steel toe work boots, the steel toe comes in handy when ur at a bar with a bunch of foul mouth harley riders that are making fun of ur bike calling it a rice burner. One time I was at a bar and this harley guy had these sissy looking boots that had a pointed toe and white laces, everybody was laughing at his boots, he thought he was a tough guy and he threatened everybody saying " if you laugh at my boots, you will be looking at them"
Reply:Axo make good quality safety equipment, probably better known for off-road. I find it is useful to try boots (and other equipment) on while sitting on your bike, make friends with your local dealer, if you are uncomfortable you are less likely to wear them so try another manufacturer Alpinestars, Frank Thomas and Sidi who all have women’s ranges.

Of course if you ride slowly or for the pose value you could go without and wear sandals but I wouldn't discourage you from making the choice to wear specifically designed safety equipment, workboots and steel toes won't protect ankles and tendons they are mainly designed to protect the wearer from something heavy dropping on the foot.
Reply:AXO makes a good all around boot for off road riding, but it is not the best as far as protection goes. But the wear rate and overall quality is really good....
Reply:The AXO's are good boots and should hold up well riding such as motocross or just off-road boonie bashing. And, yes, it;s sad but true, most women's boots don't measure up to the demands placed on them for which they are supposed to be designed. If the men's boots will fit ok, then I'd say you'll be happy with the AXO's.
Reply:I advise u to get on a site called bikerkiss to get more info. There are many motorcyclists there. I think they will give u some useful info.

Men's Hiking Boots - As Wide As Possible - Recommendations?

Hi, I have a US 9-10 foot, with a narrow heel and extremely wide forefoot. I will be going on a hiking trip in mid-September in New England, where it may or may not be wet and/or cold. If possible, I would like these boots to be also usable (non-slip and warm) in snow. Money is important but fit is more important. I also have podiatric orthoses, so I will need a boot with a removable insole.

I have looked at Ecco Track boots, and their size 43 is the right length, and feels just a tiny bit narrow in the forefoot. Will these boots stretch after I break them in? If my orthoses are like .5-1 cm shorter than the shoe, is that OK as long as the orthoses don't slip around?

Please also recommend specific brands and models. Thanks a lot!

Men's Hiking Boots - As Wide As Possible - Recommendations?
Danner Mt. Lite II is a classical style boot that comes in many widths. They are tough as nails and extremely comfortable.

to answer the other part of the ? almost all boots will stretch and shrink somewhat.
Reply:Unless you need to wear crampons you really don't need boots for normal hiking, even in snow. I'd just buy trail shoes or running shoes that fit and not worry about it, assuming it's easier to acquire such. If it snows I wear a vapor barrier liner sock along with liner sock under the VBL and thick hiking sock on top.

Childrens Doc Martin boots?

My Son is now ten years old. He has worn doc martin boots since the age of four. He is currently wearing ten eyelet doc martin boots that come above his ankles to low calf level. He has seen a pair of these boots in a local shop that are 18 eyelet high and would practically go up to his knees and in his size. He is constantly on to us to buy them for him. If you were a parent in this position would you allowyour Son to have these boots.

Childrens Doc Martin boots?
My Mother questions why I bought my son (who is 18 mnths.) pink Chuck Taylors. The answer I told her: he likes them, and it's just a color. Life is too short to worry about what things look like to other people. You know why you make your decisions regarding your children. Unless cost or safety is an issue, let him have the boots he likes. You want him to be an individual, or you wouldn't have started the trend. If you're concerened about giving in, or spoiling him, have him do chores to pay them, or help around the neighborhood.
Reply:NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

unless u want him to become one of those british reble punk people

good luck
Reply:i think it is inappropriate for a young child to have that kind of shoe.
Reply:Personally, because my children are growing so fast and are so hard on shoes, I tend to spend less and buy more often to keep them fitting and looking good.

If you have no qualms about spending that kind of money on shoes he will outgrow quicker than ever, who are any of us to tell you differently?? Since Doc's are expensive, I would guess you have already been through the "growing out of them quickly thing" vs. the expense.

... If I give you my home address, could I get your son's hand-me-downs?? lol

Cowboy Boots~joke!?

An elderly couple is vacationing in the West.

Sam always wanted a pair of authentic cowboy boots.

Seeing some on sale one day, he buys them, wears them back to the hotel, walking proudly.

He walks into their hotel room and says to his wife, "Notice anything different, Helen?"

Helen looks him over, "Nope."

Sam says excitedly, "Come on, Helen, take a good look. Notice anything different about me?"

Helen looks again, "Nope."

Frustrated, Sam storms off into the bathroom, undresses, and walks back into the room completely naked except for his boots.

Again, he asks, a little louder this time, "Notice anything

DIFFERENT?"

Helen looks up and says, "Sam, what's different? It's hanging down today, it was hanging down yesterday, it'll be hanging down again tomorrow."

Furious, Sam yells, "AND DO YOU KNOW WHY IT'S HANGING DOWN, HELEN? IT'S HANGING DOWN BECAUSE IT'S LOOKING AT MY NEW BOOTS!"

To which Helen replies, "Shoulda bought a hat, Sam, shoulda bought a hat."

Cowboy Boots~joke!?
That's funny. Here's something you might like.

A man and his wife were working in their garden one day and the man looks over at his wife and says "Your butt is getting really big, I mean really big. I bet your butt is bigger than the barbecue grill." With that he proceeded to get a measuring tape and measure the grill and then went over to where his wife was working and measured his wife's bottom. "Yes, I was right, your butt is two inches wider than the barbecue grill!!!" The woman chose to ignore her husband. Later that night in bed, the husband is feeling frisky. He makes some advances towards his wife who completely brushes him off. "What's wrong?" he asks.

She answers: "Do you really think I'm going to fire up this big-*** grill for one little weenie?"

FRYE Boots - HEEELLLPPP?

I go to college up in the north and I need a good pair of boots. FRYE boots are known to be sturdy and fashionable. However, I am having a hard time deciding between the ENGINEER LONG http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/20094798/c/... OR the ENGINEER LOW http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/18557968/c/...

I will be wearing these predominantly with jeans, probably both tucked in and tucked under. But remember, I am only 5'3 in height, so that should make a different on how the boot looks when it comes up my leg. I am currently leaning towards the LOW just because I think the LONG will look silly since I"m so short...

What do you guys think?
